Syllabus

The Syllabus feature contains the syllabus for the course. This document is an essential component of the course environment. The syllabus creates structure for the course and outlines course expectations. Student access to the syllabus enables students to view the syllabus and access any material linked to the syllabus.

As an instructor, you will have the ability to add/edit the syllabus.

Creating a Syllabus with the Syllabus Builder (watch the video)

The Syllabus Builder is an easy way to put your Course Syllabus together piece by piece. Begin by entering some basic information: your name and email, the semester, and your office hours for the course.

To begin adding to your Syllabus, click Add Syllabus Category.

Choose a Category from the list. If you want something that does not appear, choose Custom and enter your own Category in Custom Title.

Enter content for this Category using the rich editing tool bar, including text, web links, images, etc. When you are done, click Save.

Getting ready to enter a Course Description

When you save a Category, you will be presented with a list of all completed Categories. Add more by clicking Add Syllabus Category. To change the order in which Categories will appear, drag and drop them in the list. You can also Preview the compiled Syllabus.

When your Syllabus is complete, click Save.
